Encore Choirs Sings for the Royal Navy’s Christmas Advert 2025 – Out Today (03/12)

Encore Choirs is beyond excited to share some truly incredible news: we are the featured choir in the Royal Navy’s brand-new Christmas advert for 2025, released today.

When the call came asking if Encore Choirs would like to provide the vocal underscore for this year’s campaign, we were absolutely thrilled. As a community choir made up of passionate singers from our groups across the South, it was an honour we could never have imagined.

A Story Inspired by True Events

The advert, Silent Night: On the Frontline, is a powerful and emotional film based on real Royal Navy operations. It follows a Type 45 Air Defence Destroyer on active duty on Christmas Eve, depicting the intense moments leading up to a real drone threat. The ship’s company responds with their Sea Viper Ballistic Missile system, preventing catastrophe in a gripping and heroic act.

The message is simple, moving, and deeply resonant:
Sometimes, you sacrifice the moments that matter the most—so others can hold on to theirs.

Encore Choirs on Set

With just 48 hours’ notice, a small group of singers from three of our adult singing groups stepped forward to help bring this story to life. After arriving on location, we filmed several scenes and recorded our arrangement of Silent Night.

A special congratulations goes to our wonderful soloist, Ginny, who delivered the beautiful and heart-warming opening solo – we are so proud of you.

Moments like these remind us why being part of a local choir and a supportive musical community means so much. Whether you sing for joy, confidence, community, or creativity, opportunities like this show how powerful choir singing can be.
