Depending on how you choose to pay. Encore Choir costs £100 per term. This payment can be split into half term or monthly installments. For more information click ABOUT/FEES
Payments can be made by a bank transfer or setting up a monthly standing order.

All our choirs run from 7.15 – 9.15 pm in your desired location (Alton, Nyewood or Petersfield).
Yes, we offer one free taster session so you can get to know how Encore Choirs works.
Firstly, we understand coming into a new group can be daunting! Our groups are extremely welcoming and friendly. On your first session, our choir leader will provide you with all the lyrics or music that you need during the evening. You will then join one of our three groups (Sopranos, Altos or Tenors) and are welcome to sing or listen to the music.
We meet during term times and break over the school holidays.
No! All our choirs are audition free and open to anyone who loves to sing.
Absolutely not—if you enjoy singing, you’re in the right place. Whether you have never sung before or are a seasoned pro, we have a space for you.
Not at all! We welcome singers of all levels, including those who don’t read music. All our songs are taught by ear. We do sometimes have sheet music available for those who prefer to follow a score.
Most of our venues are accessible—please contact us for specific details.
All our venues have a limited number of spaces for parking. Our Nyewood and Alton venues may require you to park in a nearby location.
Yes, we perform at various events and hold concerts throughout the year!
No—concert participation is completely optional.
Our choir leader will help you to determine your voice part or vocal range and can offer a one-off singing lesson to help you get the best from your voice.
Yes, Encore Choirs has their own t-shirts in various colours that can be purchased once you have joined the choir. We wear our t-shirts for our performances. If you are likely to perform with us, you will likely be required to purchase a t-shirt.
No problem! We know that sometimes members can’t make sessions. The great news is that you are able to practice from home or join us on another evening should you wish to!
Our repertoire is varied—everything from pop and rock to musical theatre, gospel and classical. We are open to all genres!
We welcome adults of all ages! Drop us a line if you have any questions.
During rehearsals we use lyrics and/or sheet music. We sometimes encourage it for performances, but it’s not always required.
No. Our choirs are inclusive and open to anyone and everyone. The greatest gift of music is its universal outreach.
Unfortunately we don’t offer weekly payments, but can offer a monthly payment plan. For more details see our ABOUT/FEES
We have no set choreography, but you are welcome to move and feel the music as you wish!
Yes, we usually take around 15 minutes for a refreshment break. Hot drinks, cake and goodies are often provided!
Solo opportunities are sometimes available – but they are not a requirement of anyone.
Yes! You’ll have access to Encore Choirs ‘Members Section’ which has practice tracks to use at home or on the go.
Absolutely—many members enjoy singing in multiple groups (This does not cost you any extra!)
Our choir leader, Josh, is a trained singing and voice teacher who has studied vocal function in depth. We place a strong emphasis on vocal health and regularly use proven techniques and exercises to help each group sing at their best. Josh also offers private tuition for individual support.

Once you’ve had your taster session, you will receive a follow up email asking how you enjoyed the session and whether you would like to join. Should you wish to join, you will then receive a welcome email with all the details about payments, t&c’s, dates and gaining access to our members section and community groups.
